RoLanka offers CoirWarp 1100, a double layer fabric. The outer layer is the CoirMat 900 woven coir mat made of mixed coir fiber and the inner layer is a tightly woven burlap fabric. This fabric is available in 9.8 ft (3m) x 83 ft (25m) and 13 ft x 83 ft roll sizes.
Even though the CoirWrap can be used in fabric wrapped soil layers, in extreme weather conditions inner fabric can biodegrade faster and possible to fail as soil particles come out through the outer fabric. Possible failures associated with soil layering with fabrics can be overcome using BioD-Block coir block system. Cost of installation can also be reduced using coir block system.
